Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa was completed in 2001, to fit in well with its natural surroundings and to promote sports among the citizens of Shizuoka. It is located in an area of gentle hills in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture. The exterior of Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa is designed to incorporate the image of the beautiful nearby Ogasayama Mountains and the design reflects a variety of environment-friendly features. It is located within ten minute-walk from a new JR Tokaido Line station, which provides an easy access.
